What is SEOQuake?

SeoQuake is a program which allows user to view a large number of SE parameters on the fly. SeoQuake for Mozilla Firefox consists of three functional parts: SeoToolbar (requested parameters are shown in a separate toolbar in the browser), Seobar (requested parameters are shown in a separate, fully customizable with CSS, HTML block) and output of requested parameters on Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). ATTENTION! Frequent use of big amount of parameters may lead to the ban from SE. In this case, you will need to delete cookies and change proxy server.

Age : This number shows your site age from waybackmachine. It’s a free web archive. My site is 3 month old, so it’s not archive yet. Poor I am

Delicious Index : Shows how many place your site indexed by delicious. If this number is still zero, you need to sign up del.icio.us and bookmark your own site. I’m too lazy to do so, that’s why, my number is zero

Tips in Arranging Hard Drive Partition

Posted by absnet on 14 August 2009

Most of computer user don’t aware of their Hard drive partition. They thinks that one partition is enough, or usually don’t care about it whatsoever. This is very wrong, because it will endanger your very precious data. Imagine if your computer is get virused, what will you do?. Can you access your disk again?.

I say “yes, we can, as long as drive structure is not broken”. But for most of us, this step is too complicated. So, to overcome this, you should

The division of the hard drive does not have specific standards, this is usually based on experience or needs. The best way is to first determine the category that will be used. The most common division will be :

  1. System for Operating system
  2. Master for program master
  3. Data to save our data
  4. Other, to save audio and video, and others filetype

Now as Hard drive price is getting cheaper, we can afford as small as 80 GB HDD.  Please note that the HDD 80 GB (Gigabyte) is not fully able to save as much as 80 GB of data, as well as when in my computer.  80 GB HDD only able to store data at maximum 74 GB. Why?. Besides some space used for system and library, in business word, 1 MB is 1000 Kb, while actually 1MB is 1024 KB in calculation.  So, you should aware if 80GB in calculation should be 80 x 1024 Kb x1024 Kb = 83,8 GB. They give you 80,00 GB and less and call it 80 GB. Well, it’s business strategy.

How much you should spare for System drive?. I guess, about 20GB is more than enough. Why?.   Windows XP installation only need 2 GB maximum, and another 1 GB for office  application, and the rest is reserved for other programs. It won’t reach 10 GB for normal use. Besides, smaller size will make your scanning, defragging and searching easier and faster.

HardDisk-Anatomy

Another partition, you can arrange like this:

Following is the example of 160 GB HDD partition arrangement, with  Windows XP operating system

  • C Drive: 20 GB (Label "WinXP", to install the Windows XP operating system and other programs)
  • D Drive: 40 GB (Label "Master", to store various master’s programs before the install)
  • E Drive: 40 GB (label "Data", to store data or documents)
  • F Drive: 49 GB or the rest (Label "Media", to store audio files and various Videos)

You can play with this label as you like, but remember to give your system at least 20GB.

Move MyDocument Location in a new place

If you use Microsoft Windows, there’ always be MyDocument folder, and this location will be your default document location. It’s not safe, though, to keep this MyDocument folder in it’s place as it’s in our System Drive. If something happen with this drive, all of our document will be gone too. Beside that, Too much files in our C, especially in Windows folder (including Documents and Settings and Windows) will make our windows run slow. That’s why, we need to change MyDocument Location

To change  My Documents location,  right-click My Documents and select Properties and click the Move button and select a new location where to store documents, such as drive D or E:

move-my-documents

And now, you can save any pictures in your default MyDocument which actually now in other location than System drive.
